A unique one-piece gritstone used by Sue-Ann’s ancestors to mill flour greets visitors upon arrival. Its stature alludes to the weight of this Cabernet with gripping tannins, smoky and spiced palate, plus a lengthy finish.
Deep red colour with youthful hues draw you into the wine. The intriguing nose is elegant and complex. Aromatics of spices, hazelnut, leather, vanilla and butterscotch lift from the glass then are joined on the medium bodied, dry palate with black pepper, astringency, tar and piles of red berries. The lengthy finish is dry, gripping, and weighty. Concentrated and alluring. Enjoy with red meats, cheeses, tomato sauces, mushrooms, medium coca chocolate, and lamb.

-Cabernet Franc was hand harvested and berry selected exclusively from the estate vineyard in Jordan, ON, sub-appellation 20 Mile Bench and comprises 75% of the blend.
-Cabernet Sauvignon was machine harvested from a neighbouring vineyard in the 20 Valley, 25% of the blend.
-2017 – a balanced growing season of warm weather and average precipitation. There was no winter damage hence a full crop.

-a total 30 days on skins with continued hand plunging daily.
