Introducing Frosty Fizz, a sparkling wine that is as fun to sip as it is to say! Fancy Farm Girl Frosty Fizz is a methode charmat wine blended from   

• 94% Vidal  
  
• 6% Riesling 
  

This is a fruit-forward sparkling wine with just a hint of sweetness. Frosty Fizz features aromatics of clean hay and stone fruit, that bloom into roundness on the palate. It is an incredibly satisfying sparkling wine -- every sip will have you wanting more.    

Serve Frosty Fizz well chilled on its own, with canapés or with your main course. Because of its hint of sweetness, Frosty Fizz  pairs well with gently spiced foods. Enjoy with spring rolls or satay with Thai chili sauce, coconut curry dishes, or smoked salmon. It is also wonderful with hot buttered popcorn, liberally sprinkled with spiced sea salt!   

What is methode charmat?   In the charmat or "tank method", the base wine undergoes its secondary fermentation in a large tank. This is different than methode traditionelle sparkling wines where secondary fermentation happens in the bottle.  The winemaker will chill the tank to stop fermentation and then filter and bottle the wine under pressure to retain the bubbles. Winemakers appreciate the tank method for aromatic grape varieties; as the wine has minimum contact with its lees, the grape's true expression shines through in the wine.
