Tasting Notes

Initially, this Riesling-dominant blend gives off a limestone aroma which leads into strong berry notes on the nose. Ripe berry notes continue onto the palate, with crisp acidity resulting in suggestions of tree fruit and citrus. Grapefruit takes over on the finish, creating a complex, lively rosé.

Years back, while tending my family farm, I had a revelation. I loved the farm. This is my Paris, my Australia, my South Africa, my freedom. So, I dress the part and enjoy life through the rose-coloured glasses of the fancy farm girl. The farm is a metaphor, the attire an approach. The reality? There is a fancy farm girl in all of us. ~ Sue-Ann

Winemaker's Notes

Harvested exclusively from the estate vineyard in Jordan, ON, sub-appellation 20 Mile Bench. Comprised of four vineyard parcels ranging from 6 to 18-year-old vines grown on thin clay soils with escarpment limestone rock beneath, blended for complexity and depth.

A blend of 95% Riesling and 5% Cabernet Franc, with each variety fermented and aged individually to maximize flavour and intensity. Post-fermentation, the wines were blended, stabilized and filtered before bottling.
