Where is Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery located?

We are located at 3210 Staff Avenue, Jordan, Ontario L0R 1S0 — in the heart of the Niagara Benchlands, approximately 30 minutes from Niagara Falls and one hour from Toronto via the QEW.

What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday to Saturday 10 am to 6 pm, and Sunday 11 am to 6 pm. Wine tasting is available until 5:30 pm daily.

Who is Sue-Ann Staff?

Sue-Ann Staff is a fifth-generation Niagara grape grower and one of Canada's most celebrated winemakers, with over 600 national and international wine awards. She was named Winemaker of the Year by the Ontario Wine Awards in 2002 — the first female and youngest ever to receive the honour — and received the King Charles III Coronation Medal in 2025.

What wines do you produce?

Sue-Ann produces a full range of premium VQA wines from grapes grown on the estate, including Riesling, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Franc, Baco Noir, sparkling wines, rosé, and Icewine. She also produces the Fancy Farm Girl wine line.

Can I bring my dog to the winery?

Yes! Well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome on our outdoor patio and grounds. Our mascot and Director of Barketing, Brix Bravo the Bernese Mountain Dog, will be delighted to meet you.

Aggressive or poorly behaved dogs are not comfortable here. And we are not comfortable with them.

Inside, only service dogs, and Brix, are permitted.

What is Icewine and do you make it?

Icewine is a luscious dessert wine made from grapes naturally frozen on the vine, harvested at -8°C or colder. Sue-Ann produces Howard's Icewine Vidal — named in honour of her father — which has won multiple gold medals at international competitions including the International Wine Challenge and Ontario Wine Awards.

Weddings

Do you host weddings year-round?

How many guests can the venue accommodate?

Our property comfortably hosts weddings of up to 225 guests under our elegant tent overlooking the estate.

Who handles catering for weddings?

Catering and event planning are provided by our partners at Inn On The Twenty and Vintage Hotels, ensuring a seamless, world-class experience.

Is Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery available for winter weddings?

We are not currently able to host weddings during the winter. Our wedding season runs spring through fall — reach out to discuss availability for your preferred date.

How far is the winery from Niagara Falls?

We're about 30 minutes from Niagara Falls, nestled in the heart of Jordan, Ontario's wine country.

Do you have accommodations on site?

We do not offer overnight accommodation at the winery. However, Vintage Hotels' Inn on the Twenty and Jordan House Hotel are 5 minutes away, and St. Catharines is home to many major hotels only 10 minutes drive from the winery.

Wine Tasting

Do I need a reservation for a wine tasting?

Walk-ins are always welcome, but we strongly recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends and during the cooler months. For same-day reservations, call us at 905-562-1719 or 1-877-566-1719.

How much does a wine tasting cost?

Tasting flights are $15 per person for three wines of your choice. You can add an extra wine for just $5.

Can I choose my own wines for the tasting?

Absolutely! You can select one of Sue-Ann's suggested flights or build your own by choosing any three wines from our menu. Browse our tasting flights →

What are your tasting hours?

Wine tasting is available 7 days a week from 11 am until 5:30 pm.

Can children attend wine tastings?

Minors may accompany adults over 19 years of age to the winery, and enjoy non-alcoholic beverages. However, guests must be 19 years of age or older to purchase and consume alcohol in Ontario.

Are wines available by the glass as well?

Yes! All wines on our tasting menu are also available by the glass in 5 oz and 9 oz pours.

Do you have a restaurant at the winery?

Wine Club

How many wine clubs do you offer?

We offer three clubs: the Gold Star & Double Gold (mixed wines, quarterly 4-pack or case), the Platinum Star White Wine Club (12-bottle white wine case), and the Titanium Star Red Wine Club (12-bottle red wine case).

How often are wine club shipments sent?

All clubs ship quarterly — four times per year. Depending on the club, shipments go out in different months, so you always have something to look forward to!

Can I pick which wines I want in my club pack?

No, all wines are carefully chosen by Sue-Ann to reflect our current and past portfolio…and sometimes the future! We occasionally include a pre-release wine in the packs to give our members a sneak preview.

Can I pick up my wine club order instead of having it shipped?

Yes! All club shipments are available for either pick up at the winery or delivery.

Is shipping included in the wine club price?

Free shipping is always included with our wine club memberships, but you can also pick up your wine pack if you prefer!

Shipping

Do you ship wine across Ontario?

Yes! We ship wine across Ontario by courier or Canada Post. Free shipping is available on orders of $150 or more. Please allow 2–10 business days for delivery.

What are your Ontario shipping rates?

Shipping rates are based on order size: 1–6 bottles ($19.50), 7–12 bottles ($25.00), two cases ($35.00), three cases ($45.00), and four cases ($55.00). Orders over $150 ship free!

Do you ship wine outside of Ontario?

Yes! For shipping to other Canadian provinces, please call us at 1-877-566-1719 and we'll coordinate shipping costs with you.

Do you ship wine to the USA?

No, unfortunately we cannot ship retail purchases to addresses outside Canada.

Can you ship wine to a P.O. Box?

Unfortunately, we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. Please provide a home or office address at checkout.

Do I need to be home to receive my wine delivery?

Yes — someone 19 years of age or older must be available to sign for the delivery. Government ID may be requested. Wine cannot be left unattended. Some customers choose to have their wine delivered to their work address to ensure that an adult is available to receive the shipment.

What is your return policy?

Unopened bottles in saleable condition may be returned for a refund within 15 days with a receipt. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Can I pick up my order instead of having it shipped?

Absolutely! Choose PICK UP at checkout instead of delivery. Our team will be notified to pack your wines for pick up, and you'll be notified when your purchase is ready for pick up.
