Part-Time Wine Associate
Nestled in the beautiful Niagara Peninsula, Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery offers a unique and welcoming experience for guests. We want everyone to feel like they are visiting a friend’s home when they are here.
We are looking for a new team member, someone with a passion for wine and for creating exceptional experiences for guests. As a Wine Associate, you will be the face of our winery, guiding guests through tastings, and ensuring they leave with a positive impression of our hospitality.
Key Responsibilities

Tasting Excellence: Greet every guest with warmth and authenticity, and provide a welcoming atmosphere. Lead educational wine tastings by pouring and describing our various vintages with enthusiasm.

Sales & Service: Drive retail sales by assisting guests with wine selections and club memberships. Confidently operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately.

Ambassador for the Brand: Maintain a strong knowledge of our wines, history, and the local wine region to answer guest inquiries.

Daily Operations: Perform essential opening and closing duties. This includes stocking shelves, polishing glassware, and maintaining a pristine environment (cleaning tasting bars, tables, and public areas) to ensure a premium guest experience.
Requirements & Qualifications

Availability: Must be available to work weekends and holidays as these are our busiest and most exciting times!

Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse groups of people.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry cases of wine (approximately 40 lbs).

Certifications: Valid Smart Serve is required. Wine certification and education is an asset.

Experience: Previous experience in hospitality, luxury retail, or the wine industry is an asset, but a great attitude and a willingness to learn are paramount.
Compensation: Hourly based on experience.
