On the palate, the wine's refreshing acidity (with an earthy backbone adding weight and complexity) compliments the ebullient notes of black currant, cherry, and plum, creating a well-balanced, casual, light-bodied red.

2021 Fancy Farm Girl Flamboyant Red — This is a medium-bodied red with strong notes of vanilla and baking spices on the nose, including cloves and nutmeg, along with some black currant. The palate begins with notes of cherry and plum, with the acidity and tannin then providing a dark chocolate structure that leads to a long finish. An easy drinking, well-rounded wine.

2020 Gritstone Cabernet — Cedar, black currant, and cherry are the main contributors to the nose on this rich, red wine. On the palate, the fresh fruit notes are bright and easily discernible, with vanilla, cassis and tannin coming together to produce a complex, medium-bodied red.
