The Louie boasts powerful flavours on the nose and palate. Aromatics of warm vanilla, clean wood and spiced poached pear leap from the glass. The wine is round, smooth and weighty on the palate, with suggestions of baked apples, spice and a hint of citrus zest.

Serve at cellar temperature (55°F) or just below.

Vinification

We made the 2019 Pinot Gris from hand-picked, 100% estate-grown fruit, located in the Vinemount Ridge sub-appellation. The grapes were whole cluster pressed in a one-ton basket press before fermentation and aging in French and American oak.

Why The Louie?

Our 2019 The Louie Pinot Gris is named for Sue-Ann's great-great uncle Lewis. Although the wine is weighty and round, Louie was the exact opposite!
